Begging is not a cool thing for sure, but the people who give alms in the form of money are unaware that they are helping beggars grow to a large extent, and create a channel for business in begging. Every day near the Railway Station, Mosques, Churches, Temples, Tourist places, etc., beggars will be sitting to a large extent, as they know that is the biggest business point, through which they can gain money at a high spike within 1 day. People feel mercy, sympathy, compassion, etc. towards them and start to fill their pockets with lots of money, through which they start to grow it as a business.
"Help Poor People by giving Food Not Money"
Begging is no more begging; it's an artful skill to gain money. People work for 8-12 hours per day in the office, at sites, schools, colleges, etc., spending valuable time in the particular institution or organization, gaining some sort of experience, and sharing their skills to run daily life. These beggars also do the same; the only difference is that they don't share their skills with others, but gain experience day by day.
Nowadays, it's become a trend to carry a small baby of 2-3 months, elderly homeless people, etc., to carry a massive amount in their pockets. Some women and men wear Hijab (which is considered a holy religious code for Muslim women) to hide their faces and bodies during begging. Once they are done with the day will pack their Hijab into their bags in a lone place, make sure that nobody is around them, and go to their respective houses.
Article 23 of the Indian Constitution prohibits Human Trafficking and any sort of forced Labour, but this business of begging started to increase human trafficking and forced labour to a great extent. Most targeted among these are kids ranging from 3-4 months, 1-4 years, etc., with torn clothes and bare feet, to create an emotion of mercy towards these kids and fill the pot with money.
Some notable beggars who became millionaires are as follows:-
1) Bharat Jain
2) Sambahji Kale
3) Sarvatiya Devi
4) Laxmi Das
5) Krishna Kumar Gite
Above are a few of the notable beggars who became rich only through the business of begging. If this is the case soon many people will go into this profession of begging to earn whopping Crores.
One of the method to stop this business is by providing food to these poor people so that we can stop begging as a job and can find ones who really needs food for daily living. People needs to understand that by giving money to thsess beggers they are helping their business to grow rapidly and those who are really in need will also be blamed.
Adverse Effects of Begging:-
- Education of children will be lost.
- Increase in the rate of Human Trafficking.
- Increase in the rate of forced labour.
- Normal persons hands and legs will be amputed.
- Future of the nation will be destroyed.
